At this rate, I'm sure Jet Blue and F9 will have a contract before us and UAL will probably start negotiating on their next contract,

Enough is enough already.
Damn, Chimpy triggered.
Can we please get a therapist to the ACY safe space ASAP with a coloring book and a therapy dog?

Not really. Most of us knew this was going to take years going in. Even when certain mec members said expect a TA before the ammendable date. Glad you had a sense of humor about the trigger thing

I've heard a few times (luckily not a lot), "I don't expect legacy pay."

Why the heck not?! Give me one good reason! One! Silence
Because arbitrators use historical precedence and you are not a legacy. And full disclaimer that while it would be nice, I'm not expecting to see payrates higher than Delta/United for the new AS either. And while some (many?) will say you're undervaluing oneself, self defeatist, lack of self respect, etc, the counter argument is that one is just trying to being a realist. Historical patterns matter in pattern bargaining and there are clear and distinct rungs of airlines and their associated pay/contract. Just IMO, believing otherwise you're just gonna set yourself up for disappointment for when the AIP / TA come out.

An arbitrator has as much to do with pay rates as you have to do with spirit.
What a waste of electrons.

We are in mediation not arbitration and will not ever be in arbitration

I am curious if their new AIP will alter our ask at all or if it just brings up the floor beneath our initial ask (ala Allegiant)....
