With the current proposal on the table, the odds of getting in let alone them paying for it are extremely slim.

With pay rates above 290 an hour, a dc of 15 percent and all of the work rules added for the pilots the pilot pool will be filled and they won’t be needing to pay for guys to get their ATP. This contract is pretty good.

Yes, currently they do pay for it. However as others pointed out our pool will become more competitive with a new contract. I’d get an app in soon.

It sounds good so far, but language hasn't been fully drafted yet. Just be careful counting chickens, we're not out of the woods yet. I unfortunately wouldn't put it past the company to try some shenanigans in the 11th hour.

Also the 15% and $290+ is DOS+3, so we've got a while before hitting those heights. It's good, but maybe try not to sell stuff we don't have yet.

You just asked if Sun Country will pay for your ATP, and now you have this attitude? Get lost.

It wasn’t meant as an “attitude” it is meant to let ‘‘me know when it ACTUALLY happens.” Several Airlines have posted they will pay for the ATP/CTP and I don’t want to fork out another 5k for an ATP/CTP, if in the new contract they’ll cover it.

However, if they don’t cover it in the new contract then I will spend my own money. I’ve spent over a 100k, so what is 5k more. But if it something the company/union put out there, I’d rather save my 5k.

So let me know when the ACTUAL new contract gets passed. I did read the article in the MSP newspaper that they have a deal reached, but it hasn’t been approved yet and there wasn’t much details in the article. So I am still holding out till the new deal is “actually” done to see if there is anything about ATP/CTP in there. So let me know!

The union hopes to have TA language in place and a vote complete by the end of the third week of December and the contact in place January 1st 2022. They will NOT cover the ATP. They dropped that perk when Covid hit.

Thanks for the update. And Congratulations on the new deal. I’ll ask Santa for a 5k Visa Card for Christmas. LOL
