Exactly.

And if AA flying is more " lucrative" than UAL flying then Doug is probably paying more for it than UAL is. I'm betting that doesn't sit well with him.

You might be able to keep the aircraft if:

1. You can staff it
2. You charge AAG less than you charge UAL
3. PDT doesn't need them to fuel growth for the upgrade carrot to lure in the last few guys out there

Not necessarily in that order.

Poor planning on their part? That's impossible with that management team though isn't it.

Information please.

Insurance cost for me and my wife and child so a family of 3.
Single occupancy or double during training?
How long does it take before you get insurance.
How long before you get jumpseat privileges.
Will I be able to go home during thanksgiving so on?
Do or will iPads or EFB's come.
Anything else I need to hear to make this place my home is welcome

If you commute on ual expect full flights except a few times a year. If your route has more buses than 73s you will greatly improve your chances due to 2 j/s. My experience on ual is that hub to hub doesn't have many mainline pilots at least to the TSA bases. There are plenty of regional guys so you'd better be there an hour early to get the first check in. Iah-ord you can take yx AA 170 usually they are better than ua. Also nk is available iah-ord
This was really helpful, thanks for taking the time to break it down.

Don't know
Depends if they have enough rooms at extended stay. Probably be double
Insurance I think right away or 90 days. Been 2.5 years, so my memory is foggy.
Should be right away when you get your id badge. So maybe your first weekend.
When you're in training. But when you are working the line don't count on it.
IPad already issued.

Hey guys, do you know how long does it take HR to respond to your application when you send it via airlineapps.com? Is it worthy to send them an email too? Thks.

It's really a matter of them seeing your name under a pile of paper after they get back from lunch. Just call them.

Would you know what the insurance cost is for one person? Generally speaking are the benefits ok or anything you can add on them? Health, dental, vision, 401k etc....

It took them exactly a week to call me. I wouldn't stress about it. They're calling everyone, she probably just hasn't gotten to your app yet.

Found yet another mistake on the LIDO's. These things are complete garbage. I can't believe our union let these things get to the line. What the heck are new hires going to do when they hit the line and have to deal with this sh!tty LIDO's...along with learning how to fly the damn airplane in a fast paced environment. That outta be interesting. We should be getting a Jepp subscription on the iPad like every other damn airline with any common sense. I can't believe this sh!t.
