The Lido app is incredibily simple if you actually figure it out. I am not defending Lido, I would much rather have jepps or even foreflight but given the alternative of carrying manuals I will take lido. If we keep making this out to be some scary thing our management and FSDO is going to ax the program and TSA will be operating with 20th century tech well into the future.

Or maybe they'll get the Jepp app for iPad.

From what I heard, the Jepp program was more expensive than paper essentially negative the savings of going to a EFB. With Lufthansa, they threw in the subscription for basically nothing because we bought their management suite.

They chose Lidos because they are free...as in it cost the company zero...one of the nice goodies Lufthansa threw in because we are spending millions on their dispatching, scheduling, and crew payroll systems....

Going to be kind of difficult because Jepp is going all digital in the near future. Jepp has told everyone they will cease to print anything on paper and if you want paper you will have to print it yourself, which will cost a lot of money. So even if LIDOS don't work out, we will be on some other kind of digital product.

Looks like someone at United has finally figured out that outsourcing your customer service to the competition or to companies that pay less than McDonalds may not be a good idea....

So will you still have a job when this is over. Because the article explains pretty much exactly what you do.

Happy Halloween PoosieKat.
