8 hours of AR instead of 10. LOL I wonder what that negotiation looked like with the company. Yea, I guess we never ever ever actually really do need them for AR so yea lets let them stay for 8 instead of 10.

If they wouldn't have done anything you'd be complaining about 10 hour AR. So getting it reduced is dumb?

For those you that are eagerly awaiting PBS...be careful what you wish for. In spite of what some may think, no company "needs" PBS. Any bidding system is only as good as the pairing generator. If you're flying low value 4-day trips now, and the pairing generator doesn't change or isn't re-programmed, you'll still be flying low value 4-day trips later. The only difference is that you'll be able to pick which days you fly them.
PBS ONLY provides its maximum benefit if there is a true rig built in to the system, preferably one that is both look forward and look backward.
Once the lines are built, it doesn't matter if you have PBS or not as far as scheduling flexibility goes. That is determined by the language in the contract and the flexibility given to Scheduling.
All that said, I much prefer PBS to hard lines...

By the way, when it comes to a TA in a pilot's market, always always always vote the first one down. There's a better offer waiting to be delivered.

Come on, the company gets away with everything. They already pay about 35 an hour anyways first year now including the bonus. So that's not really an improvement, that's status quoe. The rest of us don't see any actual pay raises. The other stuff is soft improvements that doesn't cost them anything. All we get is some cash to keep us quiet for another couple of years. This will pass, most guys wanted an extension anyways, but it was very weak for an extension. And they kept throwing the MRJ in there too.

Without this, I have a hard time seeing how a PBS LOA will pass....

The other interesting thing about this TA is all the great improvements are for people that can't even vote on it they are all on probation. For the people off probation, there are very few that will see pay raises, the vast majority will not. The only other financial inducement, the bonus, is pathetic. The improvements in 401K, medical, and other areas are nice, but not that great.
That is why I say the bonus is so disappointing. You would think that if management was so concerned about getting this passed to help with airline recruitment they would have given enough of a bonus to make it an easy yes vote.
Because of this it could be a very close vote. What I am hearing from people that can vote on it is mostly negative.
