I'm 100 percent you can't bid captain. You're still an FO bidder. Plus you can't bid unless you finished ioe. And the bid was back in the middle of February.

If the company puts them on the Captain list for the month, they'll be able to bid as a captain. They'll be paid as a Captain. What else are they going to with 100-200 CQFOs? Put them all on at the bottom of the FO list and have infinite reserve? I'd guess by August some will be CQFOs holding Captain lines.

In reality nobody knows how this crap works. Theres pretty much zero information in the CBA.

Currently an LOA is being worked on that covers all of this.

Let them get off high mins and then upgrade the current FO on property. In theory it should work like this.

what logic do you use for this argument? Why should we not be able to bid CA?

Regardless of where they put me, we can pick up OT for CA or FO...

So basically you're saying you're a street captain.

No. They are FOs. They cannot hold a Captain spot indefinitely and the company will have to upgrade all eligible FOs on property before they can hold Captain. However, they can pick up OT on their non-reserve days like anyone else. They can only proffer for a trip in whichever reserve pot theyre in I'd imagine.

Yeah we're on the same page. I was hung up on the original bidding process. My understanding was since they are FO they can only bid FO. Then after the bids come out, they can bid captain opentime and the company can use then accordingly.
