So you're telling me I have to not only do my full time job, but I have to be a payroll auditor too?? It's things like this that will turn people off to coming to TransStates. If you want to be told something in the interview/training process, then get dic$ked around with once you actually start working....come to TSA.
Department? That's funny. Try payroll person. For whatever reason, TSA still does paper payroll. Im not saying I like it, but it's the reality. When you have one or two people doing payroll for two pilot groups(TSA/GJ) mistakes happen. There's a reason why the overhead at TSA is lower than at xjt or envoy. There are less people doing more work. Wait until you realize there is one person building all pairings for two companies. With the new software coming online in June, the company says all payroll issues should be solved. We'll see.

Maybe they just needed fos and this was the only way to get them?
yes several have which is what what they did but the payrate was incorrect.

of the 6 CQFO's that were done for this month (there are 15 now) all of us have flown between 30-60 hrs left seat only 1 has flown right seat. In fact it's going to be really weird sitting right seat as I don't feel nearly as comfortable

The payroll department is my one compaint about the company. As Breezy said before, you actually have to submit a detailed description of what you are owed in order to get your cancellation pay. You will never get ahold of anyone by calling them. We're supposed to submit our reports on the 3rd of the month, detailing what we are owed from the previous month. I still haven't even got a reply that I submitted on March 3. They will pay you, but not without you submitting a report. I think the girl that does it is overwhelmed and she needs help. It is very frustrating though. They need to get this thing straightened out.

Lol we don't recieve cancellation pay but don't feel bad we're dealing with the same crap you guys gotta deal with. It's frustrating when you have one person taking care of 900 pilots and us having to file a pay report or discrepancy for every little thing that should be automatically put on your check in the first place. But I'm with you and Breezy hopefully all this gets fixed with the new system.

Are you looking at coming to work here? I had two buddies of mine from flight school that were seriously considering coming here to TSA given all the growth, etc., but once I explained to them how awful training pay is (essentially minimum wage for 3 months) and the rest of the pay issues we've had since hitting the line, and all the uncertainty that has created, they both decided to take offers at other airlines.

They should go to express jet where you get two $1300 checks for all of training.

You are having pay issues because it is new. They are and will figure it out as people like Breezy has said. Shannon, in payroll, has also been out of the office for the past few weeks. She was supposed to be getting back in on the 23rd. I would guess your "issues" should start to get resolved. I've only had 1 problem, yes 1 problem, with getting paid correctly in my time here. It was within the past few months. Growing pains happen with growth, shocker I know.

Putting in the report sucks, but if you keep track of it, it's easy and takes little to no time and you can do it on an overnight in BFE. They are still figuring out how to streamline this CQFO thing, and the early guys are going to go through some of the pains of it. Some of the guys/gals I've spoken with have a great attitude about it and understand that with growth comes the pains. Others **** and moan and deter people from coming here, like yourself.

Amen. We are garbage though, so no matter what it's going to be Trash States. Everyone will look for a reason to trash this place and to make the current situation look like garbage. There's nothing like a ****ed off FO coming from another company, that's getting a golden shot to essentially be a street captain here, that still finds a way to **** and moan.
