That's what I thought. But not what I was told today when I spoke with someone in HR today. I am current in a Jet flying 135 and have a substantial amount of 121 time both jet and prop and I was told that they were only taking current and qualified EMB-145 pilots into the CQFO program. Maybe the lady didn't know what she was talking about...

What is the purpose of even maintaining the CQFO program nowadays? Is TSA having a hard time now upgrading the FOs that they employed from the start?

We didn't have a class of upgrades in May, but 6 are upgrading in June. So we need to see how July goes to see if its consistent.

The purpose is that it's cheaper to pay a handful of well qualified, non-training-risk folks a "blended" rate to sit right seat than to pay everybody on property a retention bonus like Endeavor. It's just a recruiting tool. And it gives you (and skeds) the flexibility to pick-up (or assign) left seat work occasionally.
See it for what it is - a great (relatively) starting wage for a regional lateral move - and it's a good deal. If you take it for all that TPIC, well, you're likely to be disappointed like the many previous posters on this thread.

Its not impossible. However it is unlikely as they keep sending everyone to RDU.
