Stop. Most of us are out here trying to focus on getting this thing shot down and you're out here trying to get to DC and raise the retirement age before you retire. You're taking focus away from what the main task is and it seems that you don't realize it.

I've done more to help shoot this POS down than anybody I know so stop your whining. I was trashed from day one when I said this was going to be garbage and I was right ( had a tad bit of inside info) so please don't preach to me. And when was the last time you voiced your displeasure with ALPA reps? Probably not at all is my guess.

Prominent and noteworthy Human Factors evidence suggest that we humans don't actually multi task. We simply create a hierarchy of tasks, organize them, and execute them sequentially.
If you look it up you'll see that you are incorrect about that.

"Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake." - Napoleon Bonaparte
Napoleon had his moments. He knew a few things about strategy. Why do we pilots make this so hard on ourselves.
Here is what we got going for us.....
1. Qualified Pilot shortage NOW. Lets not help the adversary (management) by fixing that problem for them with work rules that benefit management instead of us.
2. Qualified Pilot shortage in the future. Lack of pipeline sources, high costs, lack of career investment by management, time investment in training, Pipeline constraints, reduced military pilots, competition in the market place. Why would we help management there as well? The 1500 hour rule should stay.
3. Many Sr. wide body FO's don't want a narrow body CA seat. Not enough reward. Too much senior level stagnation and not enough movement to left seat of a widebody due to age 65., formally age 60. Why would we want to raise the limit to 67? Dumb. We need to encourage and facilitate forward progress and career progression, not hinder it.
Remember the video, from down below a Deli, in Deli? NOT ENOUGH COPILOTS. Same logic applies now. Not enough pilots. We shouldn't solve this problem that management teams across the country started to create with the DRA of 1978 and the strikes of the 1980's. Screw management. And, I ain't fond of Kirby either. He just wants another 5 or 6 vacation homes and another few super cars. Me, I just want to retire in dignity.
