I guess my point was more about choice of uniform wings being a conscious decision.

There is a big push to eliminate white backgrounds. I've seen a white-background pic digitally altered so it had a blue background....by whom?

I assume corporate.

Exactly right......had some interesting conversations with folks who ASSumed they knew my history by the color of my ID background. Kinda entertaining to set them straight.

I would agree with your observation. From my unofficial observations, I've seen far more LUAL wings than LCAL. I'm LUAL and agree with the other post about maturity or lack of it.

Grow up and wear the uniform. I hate the quality of our current uniform but it's what we have. I hate the hat too but wear it when required.

Hey you're right! My picture with white background now magically has a blue one.

Those corporate criminals! I feel violated!

I'm seeing far fewer legacy wings these days so I'd suggest that the "pool" of wearers has shrunk to the problem children and not merely the disgruntled.

That is entirely in incorrect. But it's a great story to continue the divide. Several L-UA bases were using the blue backgrounds before we even had the joint UPA.

Who cares where you came from? We are all in the same foxhole now.

Also with ALPA and the SCAB forgiveness effort at CAL it seems the guys with an ALPA lanyard, pin on their tie, ID and coat lapel are often the guys that are named on a non-existent list.

Find me a legacy CAL guy with white photo background, now find me legacy U guy with one. It's NOT entirely incorrect. Maybe it's not failsafe, but 70% of the time, it works every time.

Sure if you see a white background you know for sure. However all Recalls, MIL returns, LTA returns, updated photos and all 2000 post merger hires are all blue. So to assume Blue is LCAL is mis guided.

I know you know this but other less informed don't and it is annoying, so no reason to even crack the door on this old divisive tactic. I was once denied a jump seat by a 320 CA because I had a blue background.....guess he missed the half wing on my tie
