Except many of the Scabs are adorned with pins everywhere. The pin doesn't separate the good and bad. You have to have a lineup to know the players.
Saw a guy hold the elevator for a scab, give him the friendly chit chat and regards. The scab was a ALPA pin wearer from the forgiven tribe. I recognized his name the other pilot didn't.
I think that says a lot about ALPA when they are willing to forgive and give pins to those scabs. The corporation of ALPA is more important than the morality of ALPA.

I too wear my pin proudly but legacy bling and CAL bashing seem to affront SFO. I honestly could care less as these dweebs are just holdouts from a bygone era that they can't seem to accept is gone or wasn't ever as great as they make it out to be.

Disagree. Continental's name has been dropped on my last 3 visits down there during FPA chit chat and shockingly it wasn't in a positive light.

I've heard the bashing and knowing the guys on my side of the branch of the tree they are usually the pilots no one wants to fly with anyway. Wouldn't matter where they were prior to the merge they would be just as loud mouthed if they were from the other side. It's a personality defect. The only cure is their medical out or retirement.
If you are wearing the old wings from whatever legacy, you are in "tool of the decade" territory.

Maybe this could be an opportunity. If we do get the new uniforms, change the hardware to something a bit more classy instead of cracker jack plastic. Then every one should be wearing the better stuff. Thinking out loud.

bunch of posts lately showing no historical perspective me thinks
been lots lots mergers over fifty years
and yes if you ask the folks from each era, the two groups always hold onto their past
they never really so fully blend
i remember seeing eal stuff on bags in ops for years. years.
and pan am stuff on pacific trips
focus on keeping the cabin cool during boarding and slow the f@&$k down in rough air
give good safe rides and knock off the school girl chat about clothes and tie tacks and pantyhose
geeeeeash

Granted, it is harder to tell these days, but a scab is still a scab, will always be a scab even after they die--at least to me. There will be no friendly chit chat.
