So about the issue of not being able to SC/FS a WB reserve with two days available left...
Can the company slap FDOs on the back end of normal reserve days to get around this? Does this mean LAX 777 crews that are flying domestic trips are bullet proof once inside two days of the end of their reserve period? |

Except for 756 crews that is. The LOA 48 enhancemennts effectively create a third category outside of basic and global. |

A global fleet follows global rules regardless of wether the trip is domestic or international.

That is incorrect LAX 777 is bid as a basic category. All days off are HDOs. The base has to have a Global flight to be bid as a global base.
So in effect they get the benefits of basic rules and LOA 48? |

I'm going to disagree with you on this. Both United and Delta had this provision well before us CAL guys ever showed up. CAL always paid widebody rates for 767-200 so I'd venture to say Delta and United dropped the ball way before our first combined contract ever hit the scene.

Yeah, it was a hell of a deal! And the CAL guys attempted, albeit unsuccessfully, to get the 757-300 included as widebody based on the premise that it carried more pax than a 767-200.

Management: "I can't believe we got the pilots to fly 777s and A-350s for 767-400 pay." |

You Sir, have won CCS and Flying Together for the week (not the whole internet; just the United-specific portion). :p
