Nice photo. Hence the reason why a newhire should take A320 or even 737 if available during the drop.

so true. And the only reason they do it is because they can. There is not enough cost associated with that to the company.

I hope that will be addressed in a new contract.

but reserve is a choice …

Ignore fadec, a consistent a$$ hat and source of negative input. Humbled is a recognition that many are qualified to be here. Grateful for the opportunity and a mindset that you’re not taking this opportunity for granted. Sounds like humility. I believe fadec experienced humiliation, big difference!

Welcome!

I interviewed 2/7 and haven't heard anything back yet. I do know one of the group I was with got a CJO two days after. I am assuming it didn't go well at this point.

Yep.

And yes, it's a choice until it's not...hence 2020. Maybe that'll be a good thing to come out of corona - that is many more people seeing what being on reserve is like. Although, during the heart of the Rona FSBs were sidelined in the name of social distancing, which in the short run was also a good thing to come out of the Rona. (I'm just trying to be positive.)

Technically in order to get awarded reserve by PBS you have to be senior enough - cause the goal of PBS is of course to first fill all the trips and then put people on reserve. And yet again the year(s) of corona showed us this fact as some senior people were bidding reserve and junior people being forced to line while FSBs were sidelined. Such crazy times.

Word I heard today was that the latest 8 ball got the 787. Cool, but the question to the masses is, did he/she have a choice? I had also heard basically everything was on the table and people could pick whatever they want. Is that true?

from what I have seen on other forums …

777/787 swings between junior and senior - depending on the class.

There is pretty much everything on the table as far as domiciles are concerned but equipment slots match class size. The bottom guys don’t have a choice and have to take what equipment is left but usually have many (for 320/737) or some (756/777/787) domicile options

Buddy of mine took over a week before he got the CJO. Mil seems to get the quick nod more often then not
