depends. What is your definition of better? The 787 goes to Tahiti. The 777 goes to lhr and Fra. And it changes constantly. 3 months ago the 787 was doing Syd. Then the 777 started it. Now it’s a 777 from sfo and 787 from lax. If you pick a plane based on where it goes today you maybe very disappointed by the time you get to the line.

Realistically, how long would it take for someone to hold 756 at IAH or DEN?

Yes, eventually there will be a vacancy bid and you’ll get base you want. Careful what you wish for though. Expectations may not match up with reality. 756 in IAH for a new hire means double redeye, bunkie to deep SA. Always, all the time and every trip. Lived it, not fun.

How long to hold a line in CLE? Also, how long to upgrade in CLE? Does CLE have both the 73 and 320?

Only 737. Most senior for upgrade, be a while. Lots of captains commute to ORD. Not sure on FO line

Gline this month was a spring 2018 hire. I don't think that is normal but nothing lately is normal as in unfilled CA and WB FO seats.
