Default New Hire Bidding Question

How does United do the aircraft bids in a new hire class? Is it based on age?

I know Delta does it by the last 4 digits of SSN. The higher it is, the earlier the pick. Mine starts with a 9 which would put me high up on the bid list.

Meaning, the older you are, the more senior in your class.
