The lack of response is in no way indicative of how high (or how deep) you are in the pile. Your first contact will be an invite for the Hogan. There will NOT be a progress report. Sep 18 application? Mine sat in the pile for 3+ years. Have faith. And fill every box. Any 121/135 time? Try an RJ job? 3200 hours is not excessive. Its quality time, sure. But are you still competing with guys with 10K total AND 5000 Airline PIC? Probably. Regular updates of your TT etc, appears to add points.

Update at least twice a month. You stated that your app has been screened, but was it done by a place that does interview prep? These services usually have the most recent information on what will reject an app. Have faith and keep updating!!! Good luck!!! We’re going to be hiring a lot of new pilots!!!

For military I try to push any who asks to have theirs published a minimum 12 months out from availability ready to be hired (Medical, Passport etc) Those that do generally get the benefit of hiring expos, and other early looks that can translate into getting the call far earlier than those who wait to post.

While some get hired with their app only posted for a few months, it is kind of like betting on those getting hired without 4 year degrees. You hear about it, but they are near unicorns and not worth using as data points.

For example the United Career fair I firmly believe is the main reason I got a interview invite before some of my mates. Had I delayed my app publish much I would have entirely missed that opportunity.

Military? Hey, me too (formerly). Make sure you get your military IP/EP time counted. Take the FAA test to get CFII added. Use your Post 9/11 GI Bill to go get a 737 type rating (and your ATP at the same time if not done yet). Finally, and most painfully, go fly for a regional for a few months to a year. I won't lie, it is a painful experience, but when you and everyone else has X thousand hours, a Master's Degree, tons of real-world leadership experience, etc. etc., a 121 tour roughing it in the RJs for a while will set your app apart. Best of luck!

Leaving the regionals felt like what I imagine getting paroled is like.

I would not recommend using your GI bill for 737 type. Not required

Agreed. If you have a college bound child(ren), the Post 9-11 GI Bill/Yellow Ribbon goes a long way in defraying college costs🤑

It was the rapture. When I was hired out of the regionals I looked down and saw my old regional body disappearing in the mist as I floated ever higher, toward the light.

A 121 training at the regional level isn't a walk in the park and could set these guys back a few years if they fail something. I had a military friend go straight to spirit and fail the checkride non AQP. They do old school MV style ride with only 4 full flight sims prior. Now that he has a fresh failure on his record he isn't getting any calls even though he is beyond qualified. I would shake the tree via having a perfect app, interview prep under your belt, and doing a career fair/meet and greet before bolting to a regional or similar type airline. The 737 type isn't going to do much to improve their standing.

Echo everything that others have said. I was one of only 2 straight mil guys in my BI class. 3200 fighter time is quality but if you had 121 time, it would be a sure thing. I had my app in for 2.5 years before I got the call so I wouldn’t consider a couple of months of not getting an invite out of the norm. Now that I’m here, I wish I had done the 121 touch and go to get here sooner. It’s awsome and only getting better. Good luck
