I fly with them, if I am going to be in the air for more than an hour, total for the day.

If I sit in the back on a DFW-IAH, I don’t. Not much difference.

But anything longer or multiple legs, they are wonderful. At the end of the day my legs feel like Fred Astaire rather than a lead balloon.

Thanks for the info. It sounds like a good idea that goes beyond standing up every couple hours

It takes some time getting used to putting them on. However, at the end of the day, I really notice the difference.

SB SOX Compression Socks (20-30mmHg) for Men & Women - Best Stockings for Running, Medical, Athletic, Edema, Diabetic, Varicose Veins, Travel, Pregnancy, Shin Splints (Black/Gray, Large) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LA8QK68/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_Zen8DbQM3WVGS
2nd these.

SB Sox are great wear them almost every day at work and ran a few marathons in them. They’re great!

I've worn Sockwells for years.

In 50% of DVT, the first symptom is death. You guys and girls shouldn't be messing around with this. Fat, thin, young, old they are cheap, comfortable protection against losing your life to deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.

Getting up and moving around is not sufficient protection against this.

Has anyone tried the copper socks advertised by Brett Favre and Jerry Rice?

This is just pure gold! A completely sarcastic post, that was edited only after realizing that they were responding to yet another (unbeknownst at the time) sarcastic post! Excellent!

I’ve been using Duluth Trading Company compression socks. They have a variety; I prefer the Copper Merino Wool compression sock. They are not the tough-to-get-on style, they feel great, run up to the knee for good compression, and are padded on the heel and base. They are a bit spendy, but gosh darn it, I’m worth it. Often on sale.

Take a baby aspirin and quality fish oil daily, if you’re not at risk for bleeding.

Have a buddy at WN who had a pulmonary embolism this past summer. I’ve been wearing compression socks ever since. Go to Amazon & get a few pairs.
