Cancel culture is personal, against specific people who say or write something that offends the Left. They even do it to the Lefties who aren’t left enough. Google Harper’s letter for an example of lefties complaining of their own side’s cancel culture. Then look up for response article denying it while saying the signatories of the letter should be cancelled.

I think you are confusing the rabid Left who literally try to get people fired for saying something they disagree with. The Goya CEO is another example. The Right, when they don’t like something, they simply don’t patronize it. But they aren’t out there on social media trying to ruin people’s lives.

This is the last I’ll say about this but if you don’t see the current cancel culture for what it is, I don’t know what else to say. There are example almost daily of someone being cancelled for saying something the Left doesn’t agree with.

Good grief.

A simple google search would give one hundreds (thousands) of examples of right-of-the-aisle examples and that's not even counting the current occupant of the White House.

So yes, thanks for sharing your hypocritical views on a pilot forum discussing furloughs.

So I'm guessing you consider yourself 'rabid right' ?

I wish I had your optimism on Cares2.....I think the government will say they've done enough already and are out of free lunches. BUT I keep spamming my elected leadership about it.

Not optimistic. Just realistic. In fact, as a taxpayer, I’m appalled it’s even being considered. But, to those on the Hill, a few billion dollars is “decimal dust” and can be spared for their own political gain. Maybe not “zero” furloughs but probably some sort of percentage cap.

Why would you be appalled as a taxpayer when federal money is being used to support businesses during a crisis? The federal government issues the currency it uses, taxes are not used for federal spending.

Ahhh ... We may not pay this off in taxes but will end up paying through inflation. No free lunch and such.

Not that there was much choice ... something had to be done.

The Fed is set to de-emphasize the Philips Curve that's guided a lot of their decisions in the past.

Even the Fed's view on inflation is changing.

LOL ... Did you even read the article? While de-emphasis of the Phillips Curve may change the way inflation is FORECAST it will not change inflation the way it hits your wallet. If you were around earning/spending money in the late 70s you would understand.

Nothing about printing money is free ... Let them print off enough to pay of the deficit and see what happens.
