everyone that will be furloughed with face financial hardships, qol changes, and relationships issues due to this.
Rewarding?
Really? Everyone? How about me. I'm gonna volunteer!! Not "everyone" will face financial hardships, QOL changes, and relationship issues....

Maybe. I can argue the same for those who just barely hang on...especially those commuters who will bump from WB FO line holders to NB FO.

Somewhere around 5 or 6 years ago there were rumors, on APC, about UAL having 18k pilots by 2018. There were a lot of naysayers. If I remember right, I think I wrote that we were more likely to hit 8000, AGAIN, before we ever saw 18k.
Hopefully I was wrong, but do I get any style points for being one h$ll of a lot closer?

I though it was a good post.
I lost/gave up several 'high paying/lottery jobs' in years past. I am blessed having gone through that. I learned to be happy with what I have, not wanting more, and the ability to not worry about keeping up with others.
This has really payed off with the wild roller coaster ride at untied over the last 20 plus years.
Or it could be because I'm not a Millenial. YMMV
