Quote: I might be reading into it too much. Though before their big fancy Aviate Oshkosh event, they stated all qualified Aviate participants WILL transition to United by that date. Then after Oshkosh was over they sent another email that says they INTEND to transition all qualified participants by that date.
That’s how I read it, but didn’t want to stir the pot too much. I recently talked to someone at UA and they were under the impression that was very much still the plan.

Quote: So is that 4 Aviate out of 200 hired this month?
Or 4 Aviate going to class out of a list of 200 Aviate ready to go?
Or both?

Is this pace expected to pick up soon?
I don’t see how all these Aviate pilots are going to make it to class by the March 29th date that United published unless the pace really picks up.
I assume he meant going to class. And with no Mesa pilots going I assume the numbers can’t be that high. 2% is lower than what Expressjet got with CPP alone isn’t it?

Any news?

Another week is coming to a close. What’s the word Aviate Pilots? Did anyone get a class date this week?

Update from the Mesa guys: Nothing. It’s been a couple months since the first group (the only group) got class dates. Mesa guys are still patiently waiting.

I hope some of you guys from the other airlines have seen movement.

Are they filling October classes yet?

The Aviate list will not move quickly until they can convince enough young college grads GoJet and Air Wisconsin etc are better than SkyWest, Endeavor or AA WOs.

At the moment the only way to make that happen is to show the wait through Aviate is much shorter than the others who have guaranteed spots and earning buckets of cash. AA wholly owned is currently 7ish years at Envoy, 5 or more for the other 2. What’s the wait for Endeavor? Mesa Aviate is 6/7 years not sure for the others.

Its a fun little catch 22 United has put itself in. Can’t flow the Aviate guys because there isn’t enough staffing. Can’t staff more because poor QOL, leading to a clogged Aviate pool.

A pool that is shrinking. A guy recently quit AVIATE for NETJETs.

There are more than just the NetJets guy. Delta, FedEx, JetBlue.

Basically guys are taking the first class date that comes on their Radar.

This is exactly what those guys should be doing.
