wow, yeah I have a M.S. degree too (non-aviation). Sounds like it could be a bit of a wait.

Maybe not. With the early out programs, I checked my seniority the other day and I moved up ~1200 places.

Things are just starting to get moving again but I expect to see every major hiring like gangbusters as they clear their training backlogs. By this time next year, I expect to see some, 'I've got a high school diploma; how soon will the majors hire me' threads. And the answer will still be, 'probably not in your lifetime'.

It’s really hard to base how long you’ll have to wait or if you will or won’t be hired without seeing your entire CV, training records, etc. Hours are just a small part. Our 8 ball a few years back was very low time, no PIC and no advanced degree. So I wouldn’t base any guesses on people’s hours stats.

We were told everyone who is qualified today can probably expect a class date by the end of the year, no matter what decile they are in.

How do you check your seniority? Since they stopped updating the numbers regularly I only see my progression once yearly.

but i think the issue is no one except the algorithm and the people who input the algorithm know what counts as being qualified!! Does it mean what the qualifications are on airline apps??

Friend of mine from the regionals spent the last 15 years or so flying long haul out of HKG. Starts class soon.
