The pandering won’t stop. It’s going to get worse. So much for the “no special treatment” argument.... Meanwhile, Captains who’ve been at the company for 30+ years retired early last year after being enticed to do so to protect the younger folks from being furloughed. They retired without so much as a wink. Certainly, no water cannon salute.

I can't wait for them to announce the first all lesbian crew. What about the first all female, all black, all lesbian crew. That should check some boxes. The next milestone will be one Indian, One black, and one latino, all female, all lesbian crew. I am sure UAL will put out the appropriate press relase.

So go back to my own airline's sub?
No no... you're right, where are my manners, continue United pilots, go on and continue telling black people how they are.

Perhaps there will be a new PBS option, you’ll be able to bid to avoid straight white males as the only avoid category!

I dunno I just got told since I'm an outsider to go away. Makes me think all the other people that weren't told to go away are in the system.

That 2020 vote in California was specifically to repeal Prop 209 which was abolished Affirmative Action in the state in 1996. California has long-established opposition to the idea spanning three decades.

UA advocated for CA residents to vote YES, and CA residents voted NO.
So, why would a management team think this would be well received and perceived as a good thing/idea?

I told you I share your goal, but the better (and more acceptable way of getting there) is to pour all your efforts into expanding equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome (quotas) which in the end will cause even more racism and perceived injustices.
...So let’s focus the efforts on bringing opportunities and support to potential minority populations not to guarantee slots based on race.
