Everyone being considered for a spot at a university or a class date or whatever should be judged on qualifications and achievement not on the color of skin NOR family connection. Both are equally abhorrent.

Trying to look in the macro here. I don’t think it’s about the 2,500 people that have to be not a white dude. It’s more about 20 years from now another kid seeing an African American woman as a captain. Filling a racial quota today will lead to a more uniform and fair pool in the future because small kids will see people who look like them up front and then be inspired. It doesn’t have to be a binary argument. Yes, it’s a little dystopian on the surface but it’s not about now, it’s really for 15-25 years from now. It’s about the small girl seeing a female captain and realizing that being an airline captain is an option.

Hey great goal, but yea very dystopian way of how to get there and very slippery slope and we’ve been slipping down a lot of those slopes these days. Here an idea, let agree on that goal and find (dare I say) a more “American” way of getting there (and before I get jumped on for that, I mean by way of achievement and merit).

When do we start prefixing everyone with “comrade”? It’s getting close!

Are we in 1960? There’s plenty of female pilots to look up to if a young girl was interested in flying today. When will the preferential treatment end? I guess when 50% are minorities.

Just saying. Some people in certain minorities don’t even think flying is an option for them. If they see it’s an option for them they will then work hard for their goals without assistance from programs like this.

I can tell based on your posts, that you have never flight instructed in the civilian world.

Beyond that, your views are Orwellian and Marxist and it scares me that there are pilots like you who support this radicalism.
