The hat is in the FOM but a big percentage of people haven’t worn one in years. How about personal electronic devices, books, or magazines during cruise………. Don’t think that UAL pilots are any more disciplined or compliant with SOP’s than any other airline. We’re all the same.

Fine. How about all of the non essential conversations during the sterile phase. The point was that all pilots are the same and that that some parts of the FOM at every company aren’t strictly adhered to. The only difference between pilots at United, Delta….. is the color of the uniforms.

Yeah it’s clear you aren’t a UAL pilot and, if you’re honest in the interview, you will never will be a UAL pilot.
UAL Interviewer: “So Mr. Rogers, if we hire you what parts of the FOM do you intend to intentionally ignore?”
Buck Rogers: “We’ll that one about what to plug in the cockpit outlet is one, also turning phone data off is another, there’s a few more but I am not familiar enough with the UAL FOM to list them all here during the interview.”
See Buck, virtually all UAL pilots do their best to follow the FM and FOM. Sometimes they fail but it isn’t because they, unlike you, intentionally deviate, it’s because they didn’t know they were deviating.
