The vax isn't mandatory here either, and won't be. Management just stated intent for marketing purposes based on their perception of the market. It's the same as their diversity rhetoric, core4, boom jet, electric airplane, green initiatives, etc. Some of the stuff kirby mentioned publicly, such as hiring based on sex or race, is illegal anyway. It's sales puffery.

The union hasn't weighed in in the company's announcement yet either except to say further negotiations are necessary. Why would United promise such a thing to the woke public without first determining its cost with the ALPA? Seems like it would give ALPA a pretty big bargaining advantage. Maybe it's because they have zero intent on following through. It's all smoke and mirrors to make money.
You might be correct! ECO, Diversity, electric,, supersonic etc etc etc...all bs...im starting to believe our new leader is bloviating 24/7 or a drunk. Its one or the other

Yup. Its a shame. Especially since our school systems have been gutted of actual history teaching. My generation and behind truly have no clue. Thats more scary going forward than the vax.

Why do you keep pushing this view when roughly 50% of the vax LOA applied to the 90% (by your count) of pilots who were vaccinated? This is a huge issue going forward. Don't you like money, control of your time off, and control over what goes into your body? Okay, so you don't want control over what goes into your body, but don't you at least want to control who decides and when? Do you want another non-approved vaccine in the future for no pay? How about three?

Do you actually work here? If so, you’re completely deluding yourself.

If the majority of politicians and 95%+ of Medical doctors take it, so will I. I’m a pilot after all, why wouldn’t I pay attention to those with actual education in the matter. Or should I ignore them and listen the the flat eathers?

You dingbats will say "ah but you have a card that's full proof?" Your right but I don't want to work for a company that doesn't respect my right to choose...everyone at this company gets a carve out but me...screw you I'm taking my labor elsewhere and suing as I leave ...win win...
The vast majority of applicants are already vaccinated by their own free will, not some mandate, so the pool won’t be affected especially when you consider what we pay. If a dingbat wants to give up line holding seniority here to go to another company just hoping that they don’t change their policy, have at it, just remember, we are all easily replaceable and a very small number of pilots taking their labor elsewhere isn’t much of a threat.

Maybe we can ditch the Hogan now. Apparently we’ve found a better way to weed out the wack jobs.

No, I don’t think we can all agree on that. The vaccinated are still spreading covid. So what good does isolating the unvaccinated do? As it should have been from the beginning, the only ones who should be isolated are the vulnerable and the sick. Vaccinations protect yourself from severe covid/death. If you’re vaccinated, you’re protected, despite still being able to contract and spread covid yourself. And you may have lower symptoms and may be more apt to spread it thinking that you don’t have it. So why are you worried about what others do when anybody who wants the vax can get the vax? This isn’t leprosy in the 1800s, where isolating the sick permanently in leper colonies is the only hope. Unbelievable we have a whole segment of modern society wanting to go back to segregation and putting people in camps. You people are sick.

Edit: forgot to add…a large segment of the unvaccinated have had covid before and are likely protected just as much as the vaccinated. Weird how that keeps getting ignored by your type.
