UAL Vaccination
#1141
Again, I am vaccinated and see it as a positive risk/reward, but I am mystified by those who feel choosing not to get vaccinated is somehow harmful to society.
Israel and England are two of the most heavily vaccinated populations, but that did not stop vaccinated people from getting, spreading, and even dying from the Delta variant. It lowered the hospitalization rate and it lowered the mortality as advertised, but it did not stop the spread. Let me say that again so it sinks in . . . the vaccines did not stop people from getting and spreading the Delta variant in highly vaccinated populations.
Bottom line: Being vaccinated is the best action one can take to lower ones OWN risk of death; it does little to help "society".
The trouble is entities such as the CDC and WHO are doing little to explain that the flu is endemic. It mutates every year and will never be gone. At some point we need to realize that a certain percent of the population has been dying from the flu or similar respiratory illness since the beginning of human history and will continue to do so vaccine or no vaccine. Perhaps the percentage will remain elevated for another year or two, but, again, if you have chosen to be vaccinated you are doing all you can to protect yourself. If others choose to be unvaccinated they are only harming themselves, not you.

Interpretation Within households, vaccination reduces both the risk of infection and of transmission if infected. When contacts were not vaccinated, isolation also led to important reductions in the risk of transmission. Vaccinated contacts might reduce their risk of infection if they isolate, although this requires confirmation with additional data.
Don’t let data skew your opinions.
And now we’re back to COVID is the same as the flu? Is there a list I can go to see which anti-vaccine and anti-mask bs argument is next?

Do you think there’s anything to infer from vaccination rates state by state and how hospitals are currently faring in those states?
Do you think that anyone has ever claimed that vaccines are or ever were 100% effective for any disease ever?
Do you think people are equally likely to die or be hospitalized if they contract Covid having previously been fully vaccinated?
You seem to be looking for absolutes when life really never works like that.

One more for you Sunvox…. Arkansas. 8 ICU beds reported available statewide today because the flu. Truly the actions of the unvaccinated have no negative impact on society at large. But just to be sure, maybe hold off on chainsaws and ladders and sharp objects till this flu runs it’s course.

The good news is Israel conducted a study on the transmission rate of vaccinated individuals. I already sent the link, but here is the summary:
Interpretation Within households, vaccination reduces both the risk of infection and of transmission if infected. When contacts were not vaccinated, isolation also led to important reductions in the risk of transmission. Vaccinated contacts might reduce their risk of infection if they isolate, although this requires confirmation with additional data.

Fully 95% of those infected and hospitalized were jabbed. No "interpretation" required.
Kind of shoots your BS down there doesn't it/
Geebus you people are everywhere aren't you.

Thanks for the laugh, when I search Dr. Haviv, the sites he’s featured on are all right wing conspiracy sites. My favorite is welovetrump.com! You’re the best.

Dr Haviv's statement is from 4 days ago.
When was this study done again? and what bot farm are you from? Your syntax, structure and tone are similar to u/CBreezy

Well the director of Herzog hospital disagrees with you. Has nothing to do with Trump. Funny how you try to link anything you don't agree with to that man.

I’m not linking anything to Trump. What I am doing is pointing out that the people who adore and worship Trump will believe anything they think is tied to him. Everything you’ve posted referencing the vaccine comes from right wing conspiracy sites to include welovetrump.com.
Unless you consider JHU, MIT, GMU, HU, Yale etc part of that.
Pretty sure you are same bot farm as u/CBreezy

Do you even know what bots do? You are as smart on that topic as you are everything else you post.
