I wouldn’t base history on what TV anchors were saying. The primary focus of the vaccines as stated by their developers was protecting the vaccinated individual. Initial data showed them to also be very effective at reducing transmission- which was encouraging, and became built into the strategy for a lot of people. The Delta variant is now showing itself to be more resilient against current vaccines. They still reduce spread, but not as effectively as against earlier variants; so the strategy is starting to look more like it did initially. (I.e., mask up & vaccinate as many as possible.) What people are interpreting as “flip-flopping” is actually just a response to the reality of a mutating virus. It’s not history being rewritten, but the present in real time.

 

99.997% Survival rate even among the infected "without" a vaccine. That's 1 in 100,000. Ebola killed 5 out of 10 people. I think that is a true pandemic.



Yet you takeoff in a airplane everyday with higher risks of being killed and taking along 100+ public citizens who also made a calculated risk to board your aircraft.

This isn't conspiracy theory propaganda. You have all been manipulated to fear living in a world that will eternally 'have risks' and in the process have affirmed your willingness to submit to authority and chase inevitable risk-zero metrics.

 

There isn't much peer reviewed evidence showing Delta is more transmittable. The data out of the UK shows it may be somewhat more transmittable. It is certainly not more fatal.

The CDC has not presented peer reviewed, published evidence showing Delta is more transmittable.

Coronaviruses are common. There are trillions of virus mutations throughout history. The problem is the political response to the virus. The irrationality and hysteria.

Masks do nothing to reduce communal spread. This has been shown in peer reviewed literature, repeatedly. They are nothing more than politically based pseudo science.

The damage done because of the response to COVID has been much more severe than the disease itself, by orders of magnitude.

Coronavirus continues to be a threat to those unvaccinated and those with pre conditions and immune system dysfunction. Mostly, it effects elderly obese men. The rest of us....well, there are more important things to worry about.

CDC Director Dr.Rochelle Walensky told Wolf Blitzer on Friday that the COVID vaccine cannot prevent the transmission of the disease.

Dr. Rochelle Walensky: Our vaccines are working exceptionally well. They continue to work well for Delta in regard to severe illness and death being prevented. But what they can’t do anymore is prevent transmission.

 

I’ll ask you then, what determines the end of the pandemic and how do we get there?

 

Not jumping in this fight since I don’t work for United, but the 96% of doctors that are vaccinated was out for a survey of 351.

I have not admitted that, and you keep assigning your opinion to my comments. I’m asking in light of people believing that; when does the pandemic end? We were told the vax would be the key to ending the pandemic, but now are told it won’t stop the spread.

I and others have posted numerous actual research results directly from the sources and not media outlets, but you ignore or gaslight because it doesn’t fit your Virtue Signaling.
