It's been shown that the vaccines don't work as well as advertised. Booster shots are already being discussed. Will those be mandatory too? Here's a couple of headlines:
So why the vaccine fanaticism? There are so many red flags here.
CDC just admitted that 74% of those infected in Massachusetts covid outbreak were “fully vaccinated”
More than a quarter of COVID-19 cases in L.A. are fully vaccinated people
CDC director warns COVID-19 virus may be “a few mutations” away from evading vaccine
In Israel, the most vaccinated country in the world, HALF of all new “delta” infections are occurring in “fully vaccinated” people. So why the vaccine fanaticism? There are so many red flags here.

Most of the population mistakenly believe that the vax is intended to end the pandemic, and once we’re all vaccinated (or reach herd immunity) things go back to normal. We’re told time and time again from the media, message boards like this, SM, even yesterday’s USA Today that we are slowing the return to normalcy by not vaccinating, leading us to believe the vax fights the disease so we can live life again. We were told this same thing from the beginning and it’s not the case. The advent of breakthrough infections led to a change in the narrative.
If you’re correct that the vax only decreases the effects of the disease but doesn’t end it, then the end will only come through herd immunity through population infection, which is the same as what happens with no vax at all, except with weaker symptoms.
The most sure way to prevent future infection from any existing variant is to have been infected in the past. This of course has a .01% chance of risk but the protection is all but guaranteed.
Search these boards for those links to the actual research results.
Also search Healthline, UM school of medicine, Un of Louisville, Washington Un, Johns Hopkins, Cleveland Clinic, Sanford, MIT, Oxford, Qatar, etc. Not the media reports of their research, but scroll down to their own reports of their findings.

No they are the same—Pfizer. I have no idea how many are vaccinated vs unvaccinated in the hospital, but the percentage of hospitalized that have been vaccinated is pretty meaningless in this context. A larger percentage of their adult population is vaccinated. Their hospitalization numbers are very low. 80% of a small number if that is correct is pretty insignificant. What is more significant is that their hospitalization rates (the amount of people being admitted to a hospital after testing positive) dropped by 62%.

Your lack of knowledge for basic virology doesn't make your opinions any more correct. You admit the vaccine reduces symptoms, keeps people out of the hospital, and overall greatly reduces transmission.... and then you dance around some conspiracy nonsense. This ends when hospitals aren't flooded with people on ventilators and we can keep the R value below 1. Right now the delta variant has an R value above 5 in non vaccinated populations and an R value of 1.37 in nj (one of the most vaccinated states).
Or we can just keep pretending the majority of virologists and epidemiologists are all in one big conspiracy.

That’s not true. Every talking head on TV was saying we need to get vaccines into arms because that creates more dead ends for the virus. And I’m in favor of people choosing to get the shot personally, but please stop trying to rewrite history.
