From the most recent UK COVID briefing:
UK Tech Briefing #20:
Alpha(UK) CFR = 1.07% (n=150,541)
Delta(India) CFR = 0.25% (n=300,010)
Cases doubled, deaths more than halved.
But, mandate and be afraid.

Can we derail another thread to China? They have to be getting a kick out of this. I don't for a minute think China released the Rona on purpose, but after seeing the response to it in Murica they have to be considering something in the future.

Hospitalization rates for infection are around 5.5% where I live. If I can save 1 million per 100 people infected as an insurance company I’m putting pressure on clients to mandate vaccination. Even if those cost numbers are off a bit I’m asking UAL to mandate vaccination or I’m jacking your rates up an equal amount minimum. I can’t trust your 90%. You might have 90% liar’s. That’s how that works.
So you'd advocate 100% vaccination to stop people from going to the hospital? What about colds, pneumonia, bronchitis? Shouldn't we stop those folks from having to go to hospital as well while we're at it?
So what do the actuaries at the insurance companies say to 100% "vaccination" with a zero data set on the long term affects of the multiple vaccines on the market?

5.5% of the infected are hospitalized in your area. That means nothing without context. You could be talking about a 50 mile radius that encompasses 10 people or 200,000 people.

Proud of you Patriots defending our freedom not get get the fauci ouchie. Hopefully this will pass and we can discuss that drunk driving only kills 10,000 people per year. That’s only 1.5% of what Covid killed last year. I’m sorry but my personal freedom should allow me to drive drunk. If you die, well, don’t infringe on my GOD given right to drink and drive. This oppressive government needs to stop!

all while making sure our parry stays in power so we can pass spending budgets that contribute almost nothing to covid but make sure our contributors get paid.
in Sept the Gov funding ends and now they need a reason to continue it so they can continue to show Americans they are th only ones who can fix this problem. Enough is enough. Free choice. Let the rest sort itself out.

And I was thoughtful. All of the doctors I know got it as soon as they could, I looked at the adverse event data, and decided to get it. Happy with my decision, but I still think it should be a choice for the most part
