Damn, more action here today than when UAL stated intentions to hire minorities. (Based on the fact that only 10% are unvaccinated, the conversation shows what a skewed demographic are here on the forums.) Oh, and spoiler alert: very few will actually walk away from the job. Like maybe single digits. All talk here…

My prediction is that this is going to turn into a 1,500++ post circle jerk followed by another 1,000 post circle jerk arguing about what should have been after every single pilot buckles and takes the jab rather than face termination.

No. From the Wall Street Journal; "The timing of United's mandate is linked to the FDA's approval, which airline executives said they expect could come early next month... The requirement will go into effect five weeks after the FDA fully approves the vaccine or five weeks after Sept. 20 - whichever comes first."
I get that FDA approval is highly likely, but it is not guaranteed by that October 25th date.

I already said way back that I would be leaving if my company mandates it. Sad that it may come to that, but I will not be coerced against my will to take something with unknown long-term effects, not to even mention my religious objections (not that the company will care, as control is their religion). How “inclusive” of them… They love to run their lips about how “Our differences are our strength,” but then when someone doesn’t tow the mainstream media’s line, they seek to destroy that person. Great job Kirby.

I have no idea if there will be a long term consequence to the vaccine or not.
Somehow though I figure that all my years at high altitude surrounded by electronic equipment might just be a bigger threat.
