I’m aware. I just didn’t understand your comment about the Union. I believe the Union is in place to represent the majority opinion.
Based on the vaccine percentages at UAL, that’s exactly what they are doing.

Quick question, given the fact that the Covid vaccine has the potential from some side effects, including possible death among others (this information can be verified from the VAERS website), the percentage of such side effects are really really low, but they are still possible and affects people of all ages and since the laboratories have been exempted from liability. Is United Airlines willing to assume responsibility in the very unlikely chance any of the pilots were to develop any fo such side effects from the vaccine?

Regardless of where you stand on the issue it’s pretty clear that this announcement stands to degrade safety in the cockpit as I’m sure a very high percentage of pilots are talking about it and will continue to do so going forward. At the end of the day let’s keep it professional in the cockpit and do not let it interfere with your duties. We’re all together in this whether we think so or not. Hopping off the soapbox now.

9 percent chance of getting an antivaxxerr crazy person…only had one in a few months…had to turn my air nozzles so my spike proteins blew a different way and he had to keep checking magnetic swing…9 percent are wack jobs

Ok... So now there will be about 6 airline employees that are required to be vaccinated flying hundreds of passengers for hours on end. For the sake of science, I sure hope all of the passengers (which are not required to be vaccinated) are double masking and killing instantly any stray virus that may be airborne with their 1 inch x 1 inch free wet wipe.

It's kind of no man's land, but it seems like the prevailing opinion is no--the employer can't be held liable for adverse reactions. It would really require a case to come before a court given there are so many things at play that are unprecedented. In other cases of an adverse reaction to vaccines that are mandated, employers are not held liable.

I’ve been checking APC since I first started working towards a PPL almost two decades ago now. These forums often tend to be raging dumpster fires interspersed with golden nuggets of information of real benefit. I was thrilled to get an interview with United - just getting a chance to interview is a feat and a privilege. I’m truly disappointed in the behavior of some of the pilots in the United group on here, in the way that they’ve treated fellow aviators. Not only do I want to trust the pilot I’m seated next to in the cockpit, I want to trust that I can link arms on a picket line if anything drove the group towards that. The division really has me questioning whether or not to continue the process. Each person’s life choices are incredibly personal and not only have some of you been unempathetic, but downright callous. Before you say it sounds like I need to have thicker skin - I have almost 20 years in the military and I would never treat brothers and sisters passionate about this job, the way some some of you have. Disappointed.

Pro Tip - that’s not how you build a cohesive team.

IIRC, United stated that ~80% of their mileage plus members registered for the Covid sweepstakes which required uploading one's vaccine card.

All it takes is one of the 9% who swing crazy in the other direction to get paired up with each other for there to be a potentially serious problem.

Nope. Nobody will be held liable. BigPharma received immunity from our dumbass politicians (thanks Trump), corporations can mandate it for employees, they will not be deemed liable. They will claim it was your choice. Meanwhile, they will make it impossible for you to make a living. They will wish you dead. They will throw every single slur in the book against you. They won’t even let you leave your home without it soon (see Australia). They hate you.

Meanwhile, they will go about their lives comfortably. They will wear their “I’m Vaccinated” stickers with pride. They will recognize each other as heroes. They will hail the “progress” they’ve supposedly made.

Just remember these words from scripture and never forget them:

“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.”
