Now that the tune has changed slightly, has anyone seen the terms of the unpaid leave? Continue with benefits, creditable months for paid vacation, sick leave accrual, etc?

This may have already been covered, but this is what appears regrettable, and frightening: a private company and/or the government is declaring itself the arbiter and authority on whether or not your faith is legitimate. "You apply to us, we will tell you if it's valid..." Yikes! I hope even the strident, intellectual atheist can see the danger in this precedent.

Yes, it will have a few outliers that plead allegiance to the flying spaghetti monster, but most are not like that. Do you want to live in a country where a company or a government is the arbitrator of such things?

Focker...out!

Seems like ALPA threw those pilots under the bus and just sided with the company. I think a DFR is in the making. Very similar to ALPA siding with management at Continental regarding the military pilots and their treatment of those pilots as it pertains to retirement benefits and USERRA. That cost over 10 million dollars. Both management and ALPA lost.

Or they sided with the majority of pilots.

The religion is don’t trust science or any actual data. Listen to the drug companies that obviously have no bias and don’t care about their billions at stake. All hail Pfizer.
