Sure, except if they were flying 121 before 1000TT they'd have to have an RATP via military experience. Lowest time via Part 141 is 1000hrs

I get what you are saying, although I guess you’d have to have been in the military to understand what I meant. It would be atypical, because 11 years of flying generally results in much more time, negating any need to go to another 121 carrier. Even a fighter guy. That’s for the general person who just gets out at the end of their active duty commitment, not a guard/reserve baby. There aren’t a ton of those.

Not military. 1,000 RATP. I used sim time to meet the 1,000hr requirement so my actual total time was lower than 1,000. No LOR or career fairs. Went to LCC. United and Delta called within a week of updating my app before I got the A320 type.

Default Class Date

When are new hire classes getting assigned? Interviewed in late July, CJO a few days later, and completed the drug test a few days after that. Had some friends get 9/26 that interviewed a few days before and or with me. I have not heard anything.

Default Equipment lock

When assigned a fleet in class how long is the initial equipment lock? Are there quicker ways to get out of it?

I'm trying to get in the 10/3 class. I e-mailed United yesterday with my approved terminal leave and was told that they haven't opened 10/3 yet, but will send me the link when they do.

No equipment lock if you’re moving up. 2 years if moving laterally or down. In other words, if you get the 737 or 320 in initial you can go to the 756, 787 or 777 in the next vacancy bid if you wanted to and could hold it. If you get the 756 you can only move up to the 787 or 777. If get the 787 or 777 in initial then you’ll be there for two years or whenever you take an upgrade, whichever comes first.

Unless they open a new base, then you can bid into that to unlock your lock and bid down. A number of people in my NH class got 777/787 on the coasts and then bid into LAS to unlock their seat and move to 737, they then moved base again to their desired base
