It's not right or wrong it's just how it is. I missed the wave is all. I have friends with less time than I and they were on top of things with their applications. They are livin' the dream now.
The requirements on the First Officer job posting have not changed. They do not list PIC time as a requirement.

ATP has a 500-hour PIC minimum, though.

If the guy has 3000hrs 121 time he either already has an ATP, or has been out of the airlines for a decade.

It’s been understood for a long time that PIC, as in the the final authority, what airlines mean on their requirements, is not always inclusive of PIC time for the purposes of obtaining a new certificate/rating. The prerequisite hours for ATP can be met in a number of manners. But being the one in charge is what the airlines mean

I would recomend EWR then look at living in Monmouth CO near middletown . Close to the beach and plenty of parks and countryside and lots to do. It is only 30-45 mins from EWR. schools are good and plenty to do, great beaches , parks and so much more father son stuff. Good luck.

You will definitely not have to reapply if you have a January CJO.... they have been assigning January CJOs to July class dates this week, so you should be getting a class date email within the next week..... Please do not add doom and gloom energy to this forum
