I understand 737 is prob best to try move bases and COL for juniors.

Trying to plan for commute, is there a list of what aircraft are located at each base?
If you want to be in CLE someday, then the 737 is the only option there. The DCA domicile covers IAD, DCA, and BWI. The offices are in IAD and most of the trips start and end there, but especially on the 737 and 320 you can get trips out of DCA and BWI.

To put the seniority in perspective, we have almost 15000 pilots on the seniority list (that number includes a good number of inactive pilots on list on Leaves, mil , medical, etc) and the below number represent the seniority as of last months roster.

Junior line holder seniority for 737 FO for July bidding:
CLE 13256
DCA 13867

Junior bid holder for 737 CA
CLE 9276
DCA 12335 (actually went unfilled on last bid so anyone off of probation could have been awarded the position)

Junior line holder seniority for 737 CA for July bidding
CLE 7462
DCA 9675

So you can see that you would actually be a line holder as a Captain in DCA before you could even get the bid to be the most junior Captain in CLE.

Thanks for the info,

What does training look like? Starting with two weeks of indoc, is there any waiting for aircraft specific training or sim training?

You will go home for a week or two and then come back for about 5 weeks of systems, procedures, maneuvers, LOFT, then LOE with each lasting about a week. Training is 5 days on then 2 days off. You get a ticket back home on days off it you want.

On our website the new hire classes only go through the end of July still.

If you have a CJO, join the half wingers Facebook group. Often people post what class date they were awarded, when they got the CJO etc. I believe end of August classes are full but could be wrong

Good group with lots of info.

I also interviewed June 20, CJO on 21st. Nothing yet, but they did mention in my interview that it’s typically 3-4 weeks after CJO to receive your class date. Talking with other friends, looks like end Aug beginning Sep class date most likely. Not sure if Aug is full yet, but seems like it probably is.

CJO date doesn’t matter, it’s about class composition
