If I get a CJO, is it possible to have United wait to send the PRIA request to JetBlue until I start at United? There’s no reason I shouldn’t lose the CJO as I have gotten 2 airline jobs within the past 1.5 years, but as always, until I’m on property nothing is guaranteed.

I’m afraid of United sending the PRIA to JetBlue, then getting fired from JetBlue, and then having the CJO revoked for some unknown reason.

Or would they just not care about JetBlue and not bother with the PRIA?

They know I start at JetBlue next week. I sent them an email after completing the Hogan invite explaining my predicament and they immediately got back to me with an invite.
United sends the PRIA when you start doing the background check. You get the background check about 3-4 weeks out from the start of basic indoc at United. So you can go to JB, and they wouldn't send the PRIA until you're close to starting class at UAL. The only instance of a CJO getting revoked is the one I heard in this thread, so otherwise I'd say you're probably pretty safe.

Thank you for the response. That sounds pretty good then. By the time I would fill it out and for JetBlue to receive the PRIA I’d probably would have already resigned.

Think I’m still gonna bring it up with the HR rep. There’s definitely gonna be some conversations about me interviewing and starting at JB 2 days later. Might still see if they could send it 1-2 weeks before class then.

I’m sure they’ve dealt with this stuff before. Especially on the 135 side.

I unquoted you so you could delete and make it less likely to be identified.

Congrats! Don't put the cart before the horse. Go wed and enjoy the lodge with the kool aid. Play the game! Do the UAL interview and get the offer before having a sit down to decide. These companies have and will treat you like a number at the drop of a hat. Inflation and recession risk is here. I wouldn't post too many details or at the least be generic in the names. If they send the pria (which doesn't happen until after interview) just say you are keeping your options open. Be honest. Good luck!

Thought United uses PRD so you just go in and give them access, they don’t actually send forms to previous employers like JetBlue does during phase 2.

Is there anyway to speed up a class date? Currently in class at a yellow bus LCC. I’ve brought it up like 4 times to 4 different people throughout my interview process and no one really says no or yes. They just shrug it off.

I would have thought they would have wanted me to come but I also got a delta interview coming up. They might get me in class before UAL does.

You are grouped based on when you got your cjo. There is a method to the madness to prevent lawsuits or favoritism. With the size of classes going through they will call shortly.

You most likely will not be in class at Delta before United. I believe Deltas wait for class is at least double the wait for a UA class right now. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Delta is running about 16 weeks from CJO to class date, if you’re in the pool at UA, it’s generally unlikely that’ll take that long.

UA is 2 months from CJO to class date.
