what fear did i start? Someone was concerned about not hearing anything for 2 1/2 weeks which led to another saying 35 days….all i did was relate my own experience with waiting on a United class date. No fear at all.

Yall need to relax. If you have a CJO, welcome to United. They’re just trying to thin out the huge backlog. A month from CJO to class date email was normal when I was hired here. Trust me when I say it’s worth the wait.

CJO’s definitely mean something. It is just a matter of when class starts. The need for new hires is there due to planned growth and retirements. To date there hasn’t been a change in planned growth but the well documented training backlog. Much like folks getting accustomed to monthly vacancy bids, so too did they get accustomed to short notice class dates.

Not worrying here myself, but we’re not talking CJO to class. We’re talking its been a month since CJO for a lot of guy and we haven’t even been able to select a class date yet. Hence the concern in some.

I waited over a month from CJO to selecting a class date. The wait feels like an eternity but it’ll be worth it. We’ve hired a ton of people this past year. I’ve been on property for 9 months and have over 1600 below me on the seniority list. Rumor has it there are hundreds of people waiting for IOE.
