This guy is part of the 16 vote majority that Insler enjoyed to pass those LOAs and MOUs at MIDNIGHT, without discussing it with the rest of the MEC because they already had the votes to give Kirby whatever he wanted.

With Hamilton, it was still business as usual, until…

NOW.

No one wants this POS TA, and now the guy’s sorry, he didn’t know, etc.

BULL EFFIN SHT!

REJECT AND RECALL.
He doesn’t get 94.5 and flys a schedule. As far as his vote on the Pandemic Loa your wrong on that one as well.

Jim is my rep. We had a 1hr+ phone conversation the day after the TA was dropped. He didn't try to sell it. He explained how he reached his decision and listened to my concerns. I'm not surprised that he reconsidered but I am surprised by the email since you rarely see anyone (much less a person in a leadership position) so openly admit they were wrong. He could've made any of the standard excuses for his vote. I say good on him.

This is the kind of crap that turns me off about the forums - and frankly makes me uncomfortable to be on the same side of any issue with these pilots.

As you say, Jim was vehemently opposed to the PRA LOA.

These pilots? I prefer to be more concerned with these issues.

This seems like one complete s show. Is this pretty standard ops with new TAs or is APF not an accurate representation?
This is what it looks like when ONE guy decides he is the smartest guy in the room, believes he is Scott Kirby’s partner, and even goes so far as giving himself an unprecedented third term. Think about this s show when Insler makes his run at leading ALPA national.

I don’t think the C11 CA rep is trying to save anything, I think he’s being honest with us.

Being a rep isn’t that good of a job. You are a line pilot who gets trip drops for union and LEC meetings. That’s it. Ever notice how only a few people run each cycle? It’s because it’s a thankless job that demands a lot out of you, especially on days off. If it was an amazing job, with full time trip loss pay, there’d be 30 people running each cycle.

I think this email is more powerful than an original “NO” vote at the MEC. Most pilots aren’t on the forums, but all pilots do get union emails. This will force pilots to take a closer look at the agreement; the people who saw this overwhelmingly passed at the MEC and base their vote on that.

“It must have been a good deal. Oh, wait. Lots of pilots aren’t happy? Hmm, let me take a closer look.”
