What happens if Boeing can't deliver the MAX10 airframes (250!) and wants to preserve orders, even at great cost? Many likely get converted to MAX9, some probably get cancelled (with A321neo orders placed). But might some get converted to MAX7 if the UAL regional feed starts to dry up?

(BTW...the MAX7 is greater PAX than the A319, actually close to the A320 cabin length...the MAX7 is by no means a re-engined 737-700...)

Max 7 isn’t certified yet either apparently. Max 10 to Max 9 conversion was allegedly the plan if there were program delays… 138 or so delivered by the end of 2023… goodluck staffing them with all of those reserve work rule concessions in the TA though…

Delta must be making money with them -- they're purchasing twelve more A220s.

Don't forget to add-
There's no money in Cargo, and
4 Engine Jets are not economical.. (Look at the latest BOOM announcement)

Delta is able to charge a higher price for their product than United. Maybe it doesn’t work at United.

You realize an A220 has the same capacity as a MAX7 right?...it's not really a regional jet.

why do you guys talk as if you know how to run an airline?? Delta is an animal domestically. Look at they're quarterly revenues domestically. They win customer service awards every year. We have a long way to go at UAL.

Yup, and notice how they’ve walked away from the 220-100. All those orders are 300’s with 130 seats. The E2’s would be an appropriate regional replacement for United.

Idk man, from my standpoint it doesn’t look like anyone knows how to run an airline right now. Maybe they should spend more time receiving feedback from the LINE pilots and less time trying to lower the bottom line.

Agree. At this point it seems all positive to not have a lower paying plane on property.
