It’s all basically the same just delta give PS if they are profitable we use that money to get you a hotel, 90 hrs of pay per month in training as. Newhire, and per diem. We pay more the first 6-12 weeks you are here and give you lodging saving you that cost vs delta gives you profit sharing. It washes out in the end. The only people who come up short are the January hires who “might come out better if they got profit sharing” but the person starting after June is probably coming out ahead at UaL.

LAX is a great base to work out of. Not as much widebody flying as I'd like, but Asia has been slow to open up travel, so I think it'll eventually come back. Tons of narrowbody slots though with a LOT of movement. Guys are holding narrowbody captain within a year of hire.
Plus, dudes over here are generally just way more laid back and chill to fly with.

Cool. I don’t work for Delta and didn’t know you guys were doing that. I think you missed my point. Compensation between the two companies is almost the same first year so don’t get caught up in something that doesn’t matter.

If you get Jan class date during a covid year, probably better at UAL.
If you get Jan class during 2018 type year, probably initially better at DAL.
As you stated though, all things considered, this is about item #69 that Id be considering with a 30yr plus career ahead.
