Except for those of us that depend on a blended rate weighted with more 767s (and aren’t sub 4000 seniority yet). This doesn’t help me, so it’s bad news ;-)

Congrats guys! As a DL guy, I'm sure our company will be trying to buy your used 76s (sarcasm).

We ordered 200 787s though. Also we ordered 100 more MAX planes. Replacing 767s with 787s is a massive change. Right now 767 Captains are going to pilots with just over a year at the company.

Bro, this entire category of 756 won’t be around be around to complain about a blended rate. You’ll be choosing a different fleet at some point.

There is the blended rate issue, but the 757 is aging out and the XLR sounds like a pretty nice ride. We’re all going to either be on NB or WB pay scale when this is over. At this rate we’ll still be under our present contract.🙄

Nocella has said a half dozen times this morning that the entire 756 fleet, including 764, will be gone by 2030.

Options are not orders. This is an order for 100 787's. Not more and maybe less since there is always an out clause in the deal. The "options" are just that and can disapear in less time than it tool to make the announcement. I am happy we are getting some new jets, and good press is never bad. That said, our "historic" annoucement seems to relate to ego.

Well 100 787s to replace 54 767s is good in my books. I’ll take it. 777s will start retiring in 2030 and Kirby said we’d push off the decision on what to replace those with for a few years. They said the extra planes would be to add a bunch of new international routes from ALL the 7 hubs.
