“Apollo 13 overhead panel” -lmao

Power unrelated to throttle position will always be a non-normal to me.

Experienced vs Inexperienced Airbus Pilot

Inexperienced Pilot asks- “What is it doing???”

Experienced Pilot says- “It’s doing that thing again.”

The bigger question, is do you really think the 737 is a safer plane than the A320?
I think it's every bit as safe for people with some experience. If you have to higher 500 hour pilots who have never driven a car, then yes, bus protects you from being an idiot.

So if I understand what you're saying, is if you are an "experienced pilot", which is some undefined thing, the 737 is "as safe", or parity. However, if you are a "inexperienced" pilot the A320 is a safer plane.

Thanks, you answered the question even though you tried not too.

Cheers

Actually, the toilets flush just fine without the APU running (on the Bus). Thats a separate pump. However, if you want to wash your hands without bleed air pressure, then you had better not pee on your hands!! ;-)

Also none of this is a problem at all if you don’t strip the airplane of every single optional item (ie brake fans, electric pumps for the water) to save 30 pounds.

that was the design principle for the bus. It was designed for the lowest common denominator. Airbus realized that a lot of growth is in emerging markets.

Yet relatively minor failures cause a loss of the autopilot resulting in a significant workload increase for said “lowest common denominator” all whilst flipping between the ECAM and paper checklist and pressing buttons for systems that will never come back.

They didn’t buy brake fans for the NEOs either, but they did purchase an aural alert for runway overshoot. I doubt they will have CPDLC as well.
