UA pilots are absolutely out for blood right now. Especially on the FB groups. Rightfully so. It is TDB on what its going to take to right this ship...

I certainly understand the frustration of no surveys prior to the Tumi TA...look where that lead. Nothing is gonna be happening for you guys until this becomes a TA and is MEMRAT'ed by the Delta pilots. That will be at least 8 weeks. Your new stable of reps might as well gather more useful, relevant data to better represent your "new" desires. I mean, it's not like they are conducting the poll themselves. They pay someone to do polling , collate the data and then the reps review it and give the NC new marching orders.
This is exactly what I would want if the roles were reversed

As A Delta guy....don't you think an new survey is warranted in light of our AIP? The Delta AIP sets in stone the minimum that we will accept and management will pay, instead of some "pie in the sky" mantra of, "We want it all" (and a new suitcase to boot)

I think the frustration is not that they are asking for our input, but that they don’t seem to be listening to the answers. Nothing in DAL’s TA would significantly change what I felt we deserved before TUMI & what I told them in surveys conducted just a few months ago. The reason we have to keep changing our negotiating strategy with each industry development is that we’re constantly undervaluing ourselves. We just want our representation to stop chasing everyone else & start being industry leaders.
Life is a process. We continue to get calls for polling from UNHC about expectations etc More information is better especially since you have new studs in your stable after letting the gelding out to pasture.
The Delta TA is tangible, factual and a huge step up from the only other carrier to raise the bar(Alaska)
I would gladly spend 20 minutes filling out a survey that affects possibly the next 4-7 years of my work life, especially after a major puzzle piece just dropped. Namely, not what do I feel I deserve....but what has another legacy mgt team proven that they are willing pay.
Feelings vs. Facts...it's your call

This same MC and NC couldn’t finish anything by November 1st, got put on ice by management, and got completely out maneuvered by management with them giving us a 5% raise early. The are the worst combo of reactive, passive, manipulated by management, all the while now trying to talk and look tough. Just STOP 🛑.
Another poll is changing sh*t. A new MC and NC might, but getting the trust back of this pilot group will be a long process. All of this amateur hour stuff is just costing us $$$ and more importantly time. UAL ALPA is definitely currently a clown 🤡 show.

Another Delta guy here… I also think this time is different. There is something tangible to reference, the Delta AIP. It isn’t the end all, but it’s the dye that will be used to pattern bargain with for United and American.
If I were on the United MEC, I wouldn’t need to know whether the United pilots would vote in favor of Delta’s contractual value. That’s a given and largely will capped at that value plus some marginal gain. What I would need to know is if a choice between compensation and “QOL” must be made at some point, which one should the money go to? Which QOL items absolutely have to be improved? I would hope the survey would address that question. Also, I would hope that survey would explore the question of time and perceived risk going forward. That is a very real and legitimate concern with some, and zero concern for others. I can only say that regardless of how people perceive time risk, I would hope there would be a desire to get the deal done in an expedited manner.
