After reading today’s update, we can all concede that the pessimism was warranted and you will be changing your screen name.

Everyone please post nominations.

Could this just be the company going through the motions? Standard negotiating procedures?

Why wouldn’t they lowball us. If we agree to it without fighting back, then it’s our fault

It’s just a scripted game. Until Delta approves their TA and it becomes the new standard, we should expect the company to put on a show for the board and shareholders. Once their TA passes, it will officially become the new floor for what we will consider and the company is fully aware of that. Once what is industry leading has been redefined by Delta, Kirby can either back up his claims about delivering United pilots an industry leading contract, or admit that he was just blowing smoke.

I think that's it. Negotiation is a two way street.

You can’t start counting from amendable date because they had just received a raise on that very date. Delta pilots got a raise on 1/1/19. That raise covers the inflation through 2019. A better gauge would be inflation from 1/1/20 through 12/31/22.

Also, greater than half of Delta pilots received greater than 18% raise.

FWIW, Delta was lowballing the Economics Package substantially below inflation, right up until the very last proposal. Hold Fast, UA Bothers and Sisters. Don't lose your resolve. This is all part of the game.
