Why wouldn’t they lowball us. If we agree to it without fighting back, then it’s our fault
There is definitely some posturing going on. Even if the company was willing to agree to the entirety of the NC’s proposal, to do so without making any counters would create the sense that we had asked too low, and risk losing votes for the TA. A little back & forth goes a long way to make everyone feel like they’re not leaving anything on the table.

Until the DAL vote closes, everything is theoretical, anyway. Some semblance of hardball is to be expected in the interim, but once the bar is actually set, we’ll see pretty quickly whether Scott is going to follow through on his “industry leading” promises, or whether he wants to do things the hard way.

Also, greater than half of Delta pilots received greater than 18% raise.
Close...48% will get greater than 18% raise in 2023 due to pay banding

You knuckleheads ready for one massive contract? One can appreciate the tight lip/rumorless MO this time around. Expect big gains and big movement in the next few weeks. Namely the first half of March.

If not, I think we can pull off a 97%+ SAV very quickly

We could, but the company knows that a strike vote is mostly symbolic. We’re a long way, as in years, from being able to actually have any type of legal job action. Once the Delta TA passes we’ll know where Kirby really stands. He can balk for free and make the shareholders happy right now, but when Delta leaves us in the dust he has 2 choices. He can back up his rhetoric of quick negotiations for an industry leading deal, or he can admit that his talk was just bovine excrement.

Right, but I think even a symbolic vote has value. im not sure if not being in mediation dilutes the message.. but if we proceed we should do it quickly before summer bookings really ramp up- maybe they already have, I don't know.
