SFO. And to the other pilots' points, apples do not equal apples. If you're a senior pilot who bids well, or maybe buddy bids with LCAs, or maybe bids TLVs...or whatever combo it takes for the company to buy your trips and then pick something up off the board...well, then 98 hours is well within reach.

Anecdotally, I think WBFO is a lot less stressful.
That’s hard to put a dollar sign on.

The original question was about QOL, not money. Aside from time zone havoc, WBFO is the best QOL I can imagine from pretty much any job.
Yes was lazy didn’t look up exact rates 😁. If you can sleep on planes and adjust to sleep well in different zones it’s in my opinion amazing. Less maintenance, less turns, swap, deadheads, weather (due to less turns ) etc etc. I love it
. It’s been a great qol for me and it would take a lot for me to upgrade

The maintenance, turn, swap, DH, wx thing is key to me. If you're ok with the sleep/timezone thing, it's incredible. So much better than the NB grind. Got bumped below the gline the last couple months, but so far reserve has also been amazing. Money is great and all, but I need more than that to go back to NB.

lets see here....3 hkg 3 day trips a month or battling ATC and the crew desk for 12-14 days...getting reassigned, extended, etc. i dont care if the pay was double....i wouldnt be doing it. (especially since i sleep half the flight, so i am effectively getting paid $600/hr for my time in the cockpit. (and yeah...its still a cockpit)

So to pararphrase, much better bang for your buck in HKG than Des Moines.

I have a CJO, and I’m curious about how getting time off works in the first few years with low seniority? What options do you have if I have a family wedding in the middle of the summer for a week? Assuming it’s nearly impossible to get a week of vacation in the middle of the summer. Thanks

That would appear to depend upon just how successful implementation of the new reserve rules this summer will be. That would be 20-K on UPA 23.

Commuter/living in base, particular base and equipment, etc., would also play in the QOL equation of course. Looks like if you are willing to fly unwanted stuff heavily enough before and after when you want your time off it might be doable but only time will tell.

That stuff rarely happens domestically. I get extended or reaassinged maybe twice a year, you're making it sound like its every leg. That said, I'm eager to make the jump to WB, if we ever have any FO vacancies.

Your family has to understand that you have taken an incredible job that has some sacrifices involved. You may be able to make the wedding, you may be able to make part of the wedding, you may miss it entirely.

Schedule for July comes out mid June. You will have a better idea then. There are some small workarounds that make it more likely, but no guarantees.

The chief pilots are good about getting people off for births, deaths, etc but a week in the middle of high season for a wedding - let alone not your own - no real way to promise that can happen.
