Things always have a way of working out….hopefully this is just a momentary blip for the NK guys.
Just was shuffling through some old drawers and found my United application paperwork from August of 2000. Has a flight time scantron form and a note that they stopped charging the $25 application fee. The way things work out…indeed.

That is very true. To play devil’s advocate. Southwest is on the cusp of change. Sure it may not be on the level of United. However, OP has to weigh the gamble of the worst case scenario on both ends and decide what he or she can live with

I remember in my Interview group in 2013 at NK there was an AirTran CA (well, SWA F/O but you know what I mean) who interviewed and didnt get it. Lucky him, lol

Currently at Southwest at 30 years old. Just about to start my third year here. Currently living in base (DEN). My QoL is alright here, my base seniority has been pretty stagnant and due to personal reasons I don’t have the opportunity to pickup and trade as much as other people. I have enjoyed the culture here but I always planned on this being a temporary stop for me.

I have been waiting in United CJO pool for months. I got my CJO in March and finally got a class date in January. I have been very eager to come over to United however waiting 10 months has really made me question if this is worth the jump. I would like to do wide bodies and being in Denver the TK isn’t out of question for me. I know a lot of opportunities out of new hire have passed (WBFO and NBCA) and I am worried I’m behind the curve there.

Is it still a good decision to come over to UA?

I would not walk but RUN to UAL.........JMHO

But do you still have the SSAE that says;

ATTN: Nancy Stuke (or Roger Vesly)
Manager Pilot Recruiting?
