United seems to be a highly emotional topic for you. Spending time fixated on us does not seem healthy. How does this serve you? Better to focus on what you have, share it with the fellow pilots at your airline, and be happy.

Frankly, large swaths of almost any large American city these days can be described as an armpit. Spending time in almost any western European, Australian, or Japanese city hammers that invconvenient truth home. Along with being much safer, they seem happier over there too.

They live miles away in their "compounds" while getting fed reports of how bad things are.
They claim to love America, but despise the majority of Americans.

But yes NYC outside the rich/tourist areas is pretty rough.
I remember picking up produce in Hunts Point in the 90s. That will get your attention.

Really?
1) New hires recently FORCED into left seat a dreadful plane (737) with less than 2k hours cause of how bad junior NB life is
2) Only “worlds” biggest by a few mainline A/C, but DL/AA have UA beat in aircraft owned + way less debt at DL
3) Versus DL all work groups are unionized & UA FA’s living on food stamps and are in a frenzy
4) UA TK has 20 year old CFI’s in Aviate teaching systems to upgrades & new hires
5) The few extra WB’s UA has more than AA/DL are consolidated in unlivable cities like SFO/EWR that people are leaving; enjoy the commute w/ no bookable JS
6) UA still can’t seem to beat DL in profitability/awards/metrics despite massive Crowdstrike handicap
From one kool-aid drinker to another. I salute you

not one single new hire has been forced to upgrade. They might have been assigned a slot during indoc, but every single one of them has had an opportunity to be released from it. If they upgraded if was their choice.
DL/AA can have all the RJs they want , I like seeing Mainline jets flying routes that mainline pilots should be flying.

Assigned the spot, yes .. actually trained not a single one was forced to train. By the time their one year was up, every single one of them had an option to be released from that obligation.

Listening to her hold court in IAH is something to behold. She runs that place and rides on her husbands coattails (when she’s not riding in a cop car). If you want spool her up, just say something about hoping for more vaccines within earshot of her. She’ll lose her mind and it’s amazing to witness.

Between the ongoing Boeing issues and UA’s historic reliance on RJ flying that status quo is unlikely to change
