I love the amount of hate we show our fellow pilots, very unprofessional and against ALPA’s code of ethics, brother/sisterhood at its finest.
Congrats to everyone learning a new word to bash everyone on APC here ‘cringe’ douche is still a timeless classic
lemme try …..
I have heard questionable IMO PA’s from both inside and outside the Flightdeck. If you got the silver tongue, have at it hoss.
*note* have not watched the pirate before it was taken down

nah, professionals are a self policing group….

Brief gate/galley PAs are good for IRROPS.

But clowns that use the PA to hijack the passengers for their personal trauma journey or rants etc, the professionals need to let them know.

What a better place than anon APC to get the message across without offending the delicate flowers among us.

Yep. It’s a relatively new phenomenon in the industry, accelerated by the need to be seen(social media culture) rather than quietly going about our business without needing the spotlight. It needs to end, yesterday.

While you're making a show of yourself in the galley, everyones got their headphones on and you're blocking/slowing pre-departure drinks.

Ha! u need to review the code of ethics one more time… #21 specifically says “don’t be a douche and make every passenger on the plane believing the rest of the pilot group are also clowns”.

Not my deal - I’m a voice from the front type - and I really do think you have to have a certain personality to make it work, but I don’t believe pax necessarily see a face to face interaction as cringey as other pilots do.

All that said, a little goes a LONG way, and I think the majority stray on the cringey side of the fence.
So we have a bunch of dancing monkeys who like to entertain then…

There are pilots who would dress up in a chicken suit to fly if the company wanted them to.

At WN our FAs have the leeway to make funny PAs. Some are very good at it, some not so good. I’ll leave the standup comedy PAs to those that are actually funny. You AM flyers are not funny, and either are the passengers.

I’ll stick to making sure the cabin is cool, making sure my FO gets a break, and getting the nonrevs on.
