At WN our FAs have the leeway to make funny PAs. Some are very good at it, some not so good. I’ll leave the standup comedy PAs to those that are actually funny. You AM flyers are not funny, and either are the passengers.
I’ll stick to making sure the cabin is cool, making sure my FO gets a break, and getting the nonrevs on.

Lots of 121 guys don’t get this, NO ONE CARES
Like he could give his silly speech, or just say the bare minimum, literally no one is listening, at least no one who matters, they ether have their AirPods in, are asleep, or have so mentally tuned all “airport workers” out they couldn’t recall anything he said anyways.
As far as making you look bad, I think having the fat person next to you flow into your seat while your knees are touching the other seat as you notice the POS doesn’t even recline, that’s about 500x more noticed than who or what the pilots do, say, or look like.
How we feel about the airport shuttle bus driver as about how the majority of flyers feel about us. ****, don’t crash and get me off the flying septic tube of screaming children and bad smells as quickly as possible.
